Celebrating a birthday abroad is never easy. You are far from family and friends and in a new country, so you might not know if you are going to get any gifts.

Wait a minute! Your birthday can be filled with heaps of gifts if you follow our step-by-step guide below to get freebies for your birthday in Australia. To ensure you receive all the birthday freebies in Australia, you need to sign up for the loyalty programs of your favourite brands about four weeks before your birthday.

Most programs require you to register at least a month in advance to qualify for the birthday promotions.

Top birthday freebies in Australia

BONDS (bondsaus)

The Bonds & Me club offers at least a $10 gift card to use (minimum $20 spend). You get additional birthday rewards the more you shop over the rest of the year.

MYER (myer)

A code giving you $10 off a Cold Rock cake will be sent to your email address 14 days before your birthday and will be valid for 14 days after your actual birthday. You’ll need to buy the cake online to get the discount.
